Every year, UUARC donates $8,000 to both its winter 'Know Your Native Land' or 'Piznaj Svij Ridnyj Kraj' and the 'Christmas Joy' or 'Rizdvyana Radist' programs. Orphans from Eastern Ukraine celebrate the holidays with families from Western Ukraine, many experiencing a traditional Ukrainian Christmas and Ukrainian Easter for the first time. 

Additionally, under the program 'Rizdvyana Radist' orphaned children receive gifts from St. Nicholas, and needy senior citizens and families receive food parcels with ingredients for Christmas Eve dinner.
